Course Details

 

Gain in-demand skills in digital-learning design and development, with the Certificate in Digital Learning and Teaching (Level1)at ICEDT.

The purpose of this course is to introduce digital tools in the context of digital learning and teaching. You will learn how to use digital tools like Teams, Flipgrid, Seesaw, OneNote, and Google Classroom in the context of hybrid learning. 

The 3-Days in Person practical based course will teach you to create effective online learning environment and activity. You'll explore the design, development, and use of digital media and emerging technologies to support teaching and learning.

With a focus on 21st century learning design, this course draws on tools and resources that supports digital teaching that engage and connect learners at all levels.

Gain up-to-date knowledge on digital tools and digital systems, and how you can apply digital tools to better the learning experience.

The abridged course is designed for school owners, administrators, IT specialist, lecturers, and teachers. Classes are held in-person (campus attendance required).

  • Prerequisite:
  • Minimum Education (NCE)
  • Basic experience in word processing.
  • Applicants must have a Laptop.
  • A background in teaching, education, or professional development would be helpful but not required.

  5. Seasaw (For Remote Learning)

As a relatively new field, and the first ever certification on Digital Teaching and Learning in Africa, applicants should expect 3 days of rigorous training and must be ready to take part in all project work required to gain this certificate.
