What is mindset? Our mindset is our mental attitude that has taken shape based on life experiences, environment, education and the ideas and beliefs we have absorbed from people we have most interacted with.
Whether we are aware of it or not, we all keep a running account or self talk what is happening to us, what it means and what we should do about it
Our mindset is that inner voice conversation that is always taking place in our heads.
A billionaire once said "Mindset is what separates the best from the rest"
One of my role models Joyce Meyer also said " Thoughts prepare us for action, wherever the mind goes, the man follows"
Below are simple ways to get develop a positive mindset towards technological growth and integration.
1) Reflect on your past growth, what new skills have you learnt in the last few years? How will that success transfer to tour success in becoming tech savvy?
2) List three reasons why you haven't embrace the use of technology integration and make up your mind to overcome your limitations
3) Spend 2-5 minutes daily imagining yourself using technology with ease and confidence. Envision yourself accomplishing, creating awesome things using technology. Try to experience the feeling with your imagination.
4) Plan in advance, how you are going to use technology to aid your students learning.
5) Maximise the use of your smart phone.
6) Invest in continuous professional development courses that are related to the use of ICT( information communication technology.
7) Focus on how the use of technology will make your life and work a lot easier not on the challenges.
In conclusion, remember you can either fight change, adapt to change, embrace change, create change and or lead change. No matter your choice CHANGE is not going away!
